On 4/20, the most important holiday of the year for us as a band, our Hartzine chronicle, interview, and mixtape was posted. It gets pretty in depth about our history, recording/writing techniques, and other things you may or may not be interested in hearing about. Our mixtape features tracks from Nima, Witch Gardens, Ghost Animal, Wonder Wheel, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Stay Cool Forever, Dash Jacket, School Knights, Junior Low, and Moon Pearl. This show was definitely one of the most fun and positive ones we have been involved in, hands down. As you can see from above the Social Science Trailer got hooked up with some crazy lighting which is a first for Acrobatics Everyday shows. Everyone was really stoked and it made us so happy! (related or unrelated?) Much thanks again to Magick Orchids, The Endless Bummer, and Tempo No Tempo. Props to Sam for putting on these insane shows right here in Irvine and to Railcars, who I require you to see because no matter where you live they will be coming through your town in the next couple months.

Saturday's show at The Smell was real cool! I got to say, Brother Mitya playing in the alley was pretty good. Atleast this one band basically ruining his set by sound checking right in the middle of it had a positive outcome to it. Again, if you want to see rad shows in Los Angeles see what Deseret's Lot's O Crap is putting together.

If you want to get one of the final copies of our tour tape, you can buy it for $5 from the Only for the Open Minded Distro which is run by none other than Magick Orchids.

Here's what they have to say about it:

I found this PLAYLIST with one of our songs. Alot of the other songs are pretty cool. Definently an interesting listen.

As of now(subject to change), we have no shows until October 1st at the Tribal Cafe in Echo Park with Zoology and Dash Jacket. Hopefully we'll be working on songs for the new album until then. 4 songs were recorded with Paul last Thursday, two for this digital single we're doing and one for the Friendship Bracelet Vol. 2 Compilation. I'll keep you posted on when those can be obtained, but I'm probably going to post up one of the songs tomorrow or the next day, so check back.

Monday we played at Tribal Cafe in Echo Park with Regular Assholes. They sounded pretty rad, i might add. The show was put on by Deseret who books stuff under the Lots O Crap name at a few cool venues. She hooked us up with a show at The Smell this Saturday. See you there...

Boom. We're going to record a new song for the Friendship Bracelet compilation on Thursday. Full length of mostly new songs due out on Life's Blood, hopefully before we go on tour in January. Most likely in cassette and cd formats. More info to be determined.

MALO FRIENDSHIP

Show on Friday was the best!! If you like good music or having fun at all please check out Magick Orchids, Guppies, Michael Nhat, and Lee Noble! These people are doing amazing things so support that. Some videos and maybe some pictures will probably materialize very soon.

We're getting deep into writing new songs for a new album. We're aiming to get it done for tour in January, but if not we're hoping to get some sort of new release out by then.

Our car overheated in Tucson Saturday, so on Sunday we decided to head back to California instead of going on to Texas. We are bummed about canceling and hopefully we'll be able to make it out there sometime soon. Wow, last night was definitely one of the best Acrobatics Everyday shows I've seen so far. Psychic Ills and Indian Jewelry sounded so good its almost indescribable. If you are free tonight go to the Echo in LA and see them tonight(JULY 19th). Guaranteed to please the ears! Earlier on yesterday we played a set at the Jumpin' Chupacabra Festival which was way awesome too. Thanks to the people who made both of these shows possible and to everyone who's supported us lately. We're going on tour in about 5 days, its super exciting!
